Pembetatu :: Triangle

The triangle, or pembetatu, decorates the painted faces of young Maasai boys on their journey into adulthood, and features in silver charms that hang from beaded adornments worn by Maasai women.

Symbols are a visual representation of philosophy, and the triangle is one that can be used to convey balance. We dedicate this collection to the pembetatu to symbolise our hopes to balance preserving traditional Maasai beadwork with bringing a contemporary aesthetic to our designs.
